At the Barrett Residence, Bomanite Houston installed our innovative Grasscrete system to create a functional and eco-friendly driveway. The system utilizes 5 1/2” carton forms that, once concrete is poured around them, create voids. These voids can later be punched out and filled with grass or landscape aggregates, allowing for a balance between concrete surfaces and green space. This not only adds a natural aesthetic to the driveway but also improves water drainage and reduces runoff. For this residential project, we used concrete reinforced to handle the weight of standard vehicles, ensuring durability without sacrificing beauty. Grasscrete offers a unique blend of sustainability and practicality, making it a perfect choice for homeowners looking to enhance both the functionality and appearance of their outdoor spaces.
